| 11.01.2012 |  | 900 m ductile cast iron pipe ND 600 replaced with HD-PE pipe OD 710 In Trondheim, Norway’s third largest City, an ND 600 drinking water transport pipeline, made of ductile and grey cast iron, had to be renewed over a total length of 900 m. The pipeline, originally installed in the late 60s, showed definite signs of wear. Leaks, caused by corrosion and requiring elaborate repairs, were regularly occurred. To assure the water supply for the City it was decided that it was time to renew the 40 year old pipeline. |

You don’t win a pipeline construction measure everyday, but Bettina Linke from the Urban drainage council in Hagen in Germany was the lucky winner of one. The prize included the trenchless rehabilitation of a sewage pipe using the TIP method and applying the Burstform device for long pipe lining through manholes. |

During a demonstration there a pipe length of PE 192 x 13 mm was pulled in through a manhole into an old ND 200 stoneware pipe. The renewal of the sewer over a total length of 412 m was due because of water entering through tears and leaky connections.

| 14.09.2009 |  | Static pipe bursting using vitrified clay jacking pipes The city of Phoenix, Arizona, recently undertook a large-scale sanitary sewer static pipe bursting programme utilizing vitrified clay (VCP) jacking pipe as the replacement pipe material. The total project consisted of upsizing of nearly 1.5 km of Ø 300 mm and Ø 380 mm pipes at 3 - 6 m depth within major streets with the usual multitude of utilities. TT Technologies provided the Grundoburst 2500G and technical instruction during the design and construction phases. This project represents one of the most significant uses of the static pipe bursting method with new replacement VCP jacking pipe. |

The water works in Vienna had the task of replacing a 100 year old grey cast iron pipe in the Main Prater Alley. The pipeline is situated close to the Ernst Happel football stadium, which will be used during the European Football Championship 2008 and therefore it’s service is very important, espcially as the EURO 2008 emergency centre runs via this water pipe. |

In late 2007 a special pipe ramming project was carried out in Saudi Arabia. The task was to pipe-exchange an installed 30” sacrificial steel casing and to replace with a new steel 30” oil pipeline 110m under the main highway between Damman and Riyadh. |
