Short pipe bursting from manhole to manhole     As the old pipe is being broken during the installation of the sleeveless short pipes made of PE, PVC or PP up to ND 300 which are socketed into one another and form a complete pipe string held together with the Burstfix tensioning system.   The Grundoburst 400 S is one of the most versatile bursting units, suitable for several different applications: 1. Bursting of  pressure pipes ND 250 Meanwhile, all kinds of pipe materials used in the pressure pipe domain can be burst or cut with the latest cutting and bursting technology. The small and handy GRUNDOBURST 400S has the same performance data as the 400G, 400 KN pulling force and 275 KN thrust, while weighing scarcely 260 kg. Depending on jobsite conditions, more than 200 m of pipe can be replaced per day. Using the ladder-shaped QuickLock bursting rods, which guarantee a safe power transmission of 100%, gives you an edge over other systems which should not be underestimated! The renewal of sewage pipes from manhole to manhole is an economically interesting alternative which works almost completely trenchless and therefore allows a complete pipe length to be renewed with almost no surface construction work at all. However, house connections must be disconnected during the replacement process. In priciple the dynamic pipe bursting method is recommended when replacing pipes from manhole to manhole. With the world's first manhole version of GRUNDOBURST (model 400 S) old pipes up to ND 200 mm can be renewed from manhole to manhole with the static pipe bursting method. The QuickLock rod has an effective length of 47 cm, taking the manhole size into consideration.

2. Burstingof  gravity lines up to ND 250 (300) The Grundoburst 400S is used for the renewal of pressure lines, its flexible application is also very useful in the field of sewerage systems. Main sewer pipes up to ND 250 (300) mm can be burst over lengths up to 200 m in one go. The bursting rig is also the ideal device for bursting house connections. Its modular construction allows for the operation  from out of working pits as small as 1.50 x 0.80 m (i.e. from existing sewer ditches). Due to to an enormously short set-up time of less than 30 minuntes, at least three connections can be completed a day. Example jobsite in Hollerath: replacement of a 33 m long connection sewer in only 45 minutes!     3. TIP method from pit to pit Combined with the latest short pipe tensioning technique on the market (Burstfix tensioning system with 200 KN tension force) the GRUNDOBURST 400S is the only safe tensioning system applicable with the new TIP method, which has found great acceptance among experts. The modular construction is effectful, too, as the 400S can also be safely used as a pit or manhole version. By using the Tight-In-Pipe method short or long pipes  pipes are installed trenchlessly from manhole to manhole tightly adjacent to the old pipe wall. The clou: by means of the patented roller blade calibration technique existing deformations and misalignments are evened out and the pipe’s circular profile is reinstored without any and drainage interference.Application range of the TIP method: ND 100 to ND 500!
